DHEMAJI POLYTECHNIC : Amidst the green canopy of green trees and foliages and Arunachal Hills to the North lies the Dhemaji Polytechnic. It is located in a remote area named Simen Chapori, which falls under Dhemaji district and Jonai subdivision. The Simen Chapori flows near the college. It shares immediate neighbours with Arunachal Pradesh to the North and East, Lakhimpur district in the West and the river Brahmaputra in the South. The Simen Chapori College is 2 Kms to the South East. The area is easily accessible by all three means of communication. The Simen Chapori train station is 1.5 Kms away from the college. NH15 runs just in front of the college making it a suitable means of communication by road. The Lilabari Airport of Lakhimpur is 130 Kms away from the place and Mohanbari Airport of Dibrugarh is approximately 75 Kms away. The Bogibeel bridge is under construction, the completion of which will lessen the time to a great extent and will replace the ferry service which is generally undertaken.
The college has three branches, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical. The intake capacity is 180 students. There are 17 faculty members altogether with 11 faculties for all the three branches, an individual faculty for English, Physics and Commerce, two faculties for Mathematics and Chemistry respectively.
